Preschool Program

Our program is a unique blend of the Montessori way of learning and an academic based environment. In order to foster all aspects of age-appropriate development, each day at Little Scholars Nest Preschool is planned to reflect a balance of both individual confidence and group exposure, outdoor/indoor activities, active/quiet activities, free play, and structured/guided exercises. Our aim is to blossom a child’s personality in every aspect. We are dedicated to providing each child with fun, challenging activities that engage the imagination and enhance cognitive skills through play and hands-on activities.

Program Highlights:

  • Our Little Scholars participate in various public speaking activities including weekly classroom “Show and Tell” & stage exposure and confidence building by our dance program leading up to the annual dance performance.

  • Children learn to overcome fears and gain strength through our optional weekly fitness program offered by California Gymnastics.

  • We have various year-round celebrations such a: Winter Holidays Celebration, Easter Carnival, Diwali, Sports Day, Pajama Days, Chinese New Year, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Earth Day, Christmas, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring Nature Walks, Birthday Celebrations and much more!

  • Strong reading program, we encourage all Little Scholars to become great readers.

  • Building love for the environment and planet Earth. We have our own preschool garden we tend to!

  • Organic breakfast, lunch, and snacks are cooked freshly in our preschool kitchen and a meal plan is available.

  • Encouragement in creativity such as arts, music, creative writing, dance, and more.

  • Path for Preschool to Pre-Kindergarten to After School.

Program-Specific Details:

Preschool Program

The preschool group is for children of ages three to four.

We are dedicated to providing each child with fun, challenging activities that engage the imagination and enhance cognitive skills through play and hands-on activities. Our preschool group develops the skills needed to understand and appreciate the world around them. Preschoolers are introduced to early Language Arts and Math concepts of letters, letter sounds, uppercase/lowercase letters, as well as numbers, colors, shapes, and phonics.

We focus on developing the following skills:

  • Refinement of Senses

  • Gross Motor Development

  • Fine Motor Development

  • Language Development

  • Development of Concepts

  • Cognitive Skill Development

  • Social and Personality Development

  • Creative Expression through Art and Music

Additionally, we encourage you to look at the Pre-Kindergarten program and curriculum as well so you can gain a holistic overview of your child’s learning plan with us as a Preschooler and then as a Pre-Kindergartener.

Pre-Kindergarten Program — Little Scholars Nest Preschool San Ramon

 

Preschool Tuition

Part-Time Program:

  • The preschool part-time program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at $1,200.00 per month.

  • Meal Plan: not available (snacks included)

Full-Time Program:

  • The preschool full-time program runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm at $1,695.00 per month.

  • Meal Plan: Included

    • You can opt-out of a meal plan for a tuition deduction of $100.00 per month.

Our meal plan includes homemade daily organic breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks! All meals are cooked fresh, daily at our preschool kitchen.

Example Menu:

Breakfast: Homemade crepes and 2% organic milk or homemade waffles paired with fresh, seasonal fruit

Lunch: Creamy Pesto Pasta with Seasonal Fruit and Animal Crackers or Chole Masala (chickpeas) with Rice and Green Salad

Evening Snack: Gooey, freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookie paired with 2% organic milk or Baby Carrots, Crackers and Hummus with 2% organic milk
