After-School Program
Our program is a unique blend of the Montessori way of learning and an academic-based environment. In order to foster all aspects of age-appropriate development, each day at Little Scholars Nest Preschool is planned to reflect a balance of both individual confidence and group exposure, outdoor/indoor activities, active/quiet activities, free play, and structured/guided exercises. Our aim is to blossom a child’s personality in every aspect. We are dedicated to providing each child with fun, challenging activities that engage the imagination and enhance cognitive skills through play and hands-on activities.
Main Highlights: The biggest benefit is we are open full-time on all minimum days and teacher workdays, and your child can be dropped in anytime starting at 9 am as we reserve their spot as our full-time student.
Additionally, we only take two after-school students every year. So in contrast to a large center with few teachers, your Kindergartener will have individualized attention and care for their academics and personal growth.
Program Highlights: Building upon our strong reading program, we encourage all Little Scholars to become great readers.
Building love for the environment and planet Earth. We have our own preschool garden we tend to!
Organic lunch and snacks are cooked freshly in our preschool kitchen and are included in the tuition.
Encouragement in creativity such as arts, music, creative writing, dance, and more.

Program-Specific Details:
After-School Program
The after-school program is for kindergarteners and transitional kindergarten. This includes children of ages four to five.
Students are picked up from their respective elementary schools and participate in lunchtime upon arrival, which is followed by outdoor playtime.
In the daily schedule, students will work with teachers on their homework and existential academic learning.
Organic lunch and evening snacks are freshly made daily at our facility.
An hour of individualized academic learning including reading, writing, and math. We will include supplemental material to your kindergarten material, along with working on homework. We will also be working through a kindergarten to first-grade workbook together.
Supplemental material will cover sciences, math, reading, creative writing, and more.
Especially if you are a returning preschooler, we will tailor learning to your little one’s learning style and strengths, since we have been on your preschool journey with you and have prior knowledge of your learning.
We offer pick-up and drop-off services to Bollywood dance with Annapurna's Dance School if your child is enrolled for a class with her before 6 pm.
After-school fun activities include an hour of rest, basketball and exercise, creative art activities, gardening, reading and creative writing, and technology exploration.
After School Tuition
After School: The full-time program runs Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm at $1,050.00 per month.
Meal Plan: $150.00 per month.
We are now offering homemade daily organic lunch, and evening snack! All meals are cooked fresh, daily at our preschool kitchen.
Example Menu:
Lunch: Creamy Pesto Pasta with Seasonal Fruit and Animal Crackers or Chole Masala (chickpeas) with Rice and Green Salad
Evening Snack: Gooey, freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookie paired with 2% organic milk or Baby Carrots, Crackers and Hummus with 2% organic milk
